Community solar is a subscription-based program that provides the benefits of community solar to local businesses and residents. Instead of installing solar panels on your property, a large-scale solar project is constructed in a sunny location that generates enough power for hundreds of homes and businesses.
Participants sign up for a share of the electricity generated by the community solar farm but receive electricity from their utility as before. On their bill, they will see a line item with their community solar bill credits and a 10% reduction from the bill credits.
